God will sanctify the hearts of all men, so that our actions will be motivated by love rather than selfish interests.

Anger is a natural emotion.  Self-control is the issue.  The actions we choose to take as a result of anger is a crucial test of our Christianity.

Rom 15:4 For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

God places restrictions on our sexual activities to protect us from harm, not to keep us from having a good time and having fun.

The Word of God is never to be compromised.

if [if] CORE MEANING: a conjunction used to indicate the circumstances that would have to exist in order for an event to happen.

Many of the 1619 occurrences of the word "if" used in The NASB translation of the Bible state conditional promises.

The desires of the flesh (lust, desire, envy, covetousness, longing, yearning, etc.), through the work of the Holy Spirit, are crucified and destroyed and are to be replaced with God’s Love.

Hope  2. Confidence in a future event; the highest degree of well founded expectation of good; as a hope founded on God's gracious promises; a scriptural sense.

1Ti 6:17-19 Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.   Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share,   storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed.

Pro 22:2 The rich and the poor have a common bond, The LORD is the maker of them all.

1Ti 6:8 If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content.

1Ti 6:9 But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction.

Prayer is spiritual communication with God.  Often we choose to pray only when we are in severe need of help, and then it is a one way conversation.  God wants us to reach a point where we communicate with Him (talk and listen about every issue in our life.

Pro 22:3 The prudent sees the evil and hides himself, But the naive go on, and are punished for it.

Mat 19:5 and said, 'FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND BE JOINED TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH'?

repentance (ri penÆtns, -penÆtÃns), n.

1. deep sorrow, compunction, or contrition for a past sin, wrongdoing, or the like.

Jesus has established the precedent, the example, the template for salvation.

Isa 55:6 Seek the LORD while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near.

2 Timothy 3:16, 17 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

Jam 4:1 Where do you think all these appalling wars and quarrels come from? Do you think they just happen? Think again. They come about because you want your own way, and fight for it deep inside yourselves.

Jam 4:2 You lust for what you don't have and are willing to kill to get it. You want what isn't yours and will risk violence to get your hands on it. You wouldn't think of just asking God for it, would you?

God allows people to suffer for several reasons.  Many benefits of suffering are identified in the Bible, and they far outweigh the pain.

(Rom 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.)

Deu 5:1 - 5 And Moses called all Israel, and said - Hear, etc. -
1. God speaks to the people.
2. The people are called to hear what God speaks.
3. To learn what they heard, that they may be thoroughly instructed in the will of God.
4. To keep God’s testimonies ever in mind, and to treasure them up in a believing and upright heart.
5. That they might do them - obey the whole will of God, taking his word for the invariable rule of their conduct. Should not all these points be kept in view by every Christian assembly?

Matthew 6:24 "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.

Matthew 24:24 "For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.

The purpose of the place of worship to to deepen the relationship with God, not a place for profit or pleasure.

We will be held accountable for the words we use to influence others.  We need to be very careful how we choose those words.
